YOUR ROLE

As the Scrap Yard Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving our growth initiatives. You will cultivate effective relationships with upper management and team members while achieving organizational goals and revenue targets. It is essential to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, upholding our standards of excellence. Through regular team meetings and individual sessions, you will promote a strong sense of teamwork.

Your responsibilities will include managing team member schedules, monitoring production metrics, and making staffing recommendations to enhance productivity. You will also analyze performance data, provide training and guidance, and implement strategies to improve the customer experience. Additionally, you will oversee the opening and closing of the yard, maintain cleanliness standards, and actively participate in internal meetings and training sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in recycling operations
  • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Familiarity with financial principles and operations management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others
  • High school diploma or equivalent
While not mandatory, a bachelor's degree or experience with heavy machinery is preferred.
