Position Overview

The role of the Credit and Collections Analyst involves managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This position requires a proactive approach to identify overdue accounts and engage with customers to facilitate payment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor accounts receivable to identify and address overdue accounts.
  • Engage with customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate suitable payment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily collections activities within the Oracle collections module.
  • Investigate account disputes and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
  • Conduct account and payment reconciliations, collaborating with the cash applications team for accurate processing.
  • Identify accounts that may require external collection actions.
  • Upload accounts receivable invoices to customer portals as needed.
  • Generate and provide customers with reports, including statements and aging reports.
  • Coordinate the documentation process for customer refunds.
  • Request and manage customer tax exemption documentation for review.
  • Foster strong communication with internal departments and external clients.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new customers and assess additional service quotes using external credit risk management tools.
  • Recommend payment terms and contract adjustments based on credit policies and customer payment history.
  • Monitor outstanding aged receivables to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to address any issues affecting customer accounts.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • A college degree in accounting or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in credit, collections, and accounts receivable is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in process improvement with a focus on digitization and automation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Familiarity with corporate ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is a plus.
