Family Support Specialist

About the Job
Waypoint NH is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our Healthy Families of America (HFA) home visiting program. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with families who may have histories of trauma, intimate partner violence, mental health issues, and/or substance abuse issues. Your primary responsibility will be to provide education and support to these families, empowering them to create a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS or BA degree in a related field, such as child development, social work, or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in home visiting, infant/toddler development, and/or parenting education. Alternatively, new graduates with the right skills and passion for working with vulnerable populations may also be considered.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, and possess a high level of organizational skills. Additionally, they will be able to maintain confidentiality, adhere to confidentiality policies, and follow technology policies regarding client-sensitive information.
This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package, including paid family medical leave, pet insurance, and retirement planning with company match. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
