General Overview:
As a Commercial Tire Sales Consultant (Commission), you will be tasked with selling new and retreaded commercial truck tires along with related products and services by managing existing customer accounts and cultivating new ones. You are expected to generate sufficient sales volume to meet designated sales targets. Represent the company with professionalism through team image and service readiness. Through training, you will gain knowledge of the company's offerings and be able to educate others. Additionally, you will monitor and report on market intelligence that affects business and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek and develop new accounts while representing the company to potential clients.
- This role necessitates frequent local travel to customer sites to establish and strengthen relationships.
- Promote company-supported products and services.
- Achieve sales targets set by management.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of products and services to provide accurate information to clients.
- Assess customer needs and make recommendations using a value-selling approach.
- Participate in sales training and continuously enhance product knowledge.
- Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, which may include lifting commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, sitting, and squatting.
- Increase truck tire sales through a structured program of regular outreach.
- Schedule fleet service appointments and coordinate with the service department.
- Conduct fleet needs assessments and provide clients with cost analysis and benefits.
- Ensure prompt resolution of tire adjustments and proper handling of customer casings.
- Deliver tires to clients as necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of successful Sales and/or Business to Business experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and meet commercial driver qualification standards.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- No relocation is offered for this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate Degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in business-to-business sales.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to adhere to all safety protocols and work in a safe manner.
- Able to thrive in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative, capable of working independently, and eager to attend relevant training sessions.
