Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Desktop/Lifecycle Team Lead to join our team providing IT Support Services to the Army Communication Electronics Command (CECOM). This position will be responsible for leading a team of 14 full-time IT support personnel, who will provide technical support, system administration support, imaging and lifecycle support to CECOM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative communications and coordination of work with the Government.
  • Support the installation of Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to monitor NIPRnet and SIPRnet network activity and user rights and privileges.
  • Provide desktop service support on NIPR and SIPR networks or in standalone, non-networked operating environments, ensuring compliance with NEC network rules and regulations.
  • Support services will provide technical support and tenant desktop administration support for desktop operating system environments, Army Gold Master images, COTS applications, and Government-issued end-user devices (e.g., tablets).
  • Customer support response, troubleshooting, and problem resolution will adhere to enhanced performance standards.
  • Desktop software support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Respond and resolve help desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install and support Government-furnished software and hardware.
  • Service all tickets for installation and replacement of printer toner cartridges and fuser kits.
  • Provide IAVA/STIG compliance for all supported laptops, desktops, and printers.
  • Analyze network failures and identify root causes.
  • Analyze new hardware performance and issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Install network Multi-Function Printers (MFPs).
  • Perform hard drive sanitization as required.
  • Provide written evaluations, procedures, checklists, and instructions for CIO approval.
  • Provide technical advice and IT acquisition planning support.
  • Provide off-site support as needed.
  • Provide rapid response for Very Important Personnel (VIP) support.
  • Transfer user data as required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience (or commensurate experience).

Required Skills and Experience

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Certifications: DoD M Baseline Certification (CSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, and CCNA-Security+ or equivalent as specified in the DoD M).
  • DoD M Computing Environment Certified (MCDST: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician or equivalent as specified in DoD M) IAT – II Certification.
  • Five or more years of related experience.
  • Clearance required: Secret.
