Position Overview

The Sales Associate for Retail Operations plays a crucial role in providing sales and continuity support within a designated retail area. This position is responsible for representing Acosta and our clients through effective store engagement and achieving sales targets as outlined by management to drive exceptional in-store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets across all clients within assigned territories as directed by management.
  • Meet client expectations regarding sales performance and call frequency in the designated area.
  • Support supervisors with retail initiatives such as product launches and promotional contests.
  • Ensure complete coverage of the assigned retail territory in accordance with client frequency plans during each reporting cycle.
  • Implement the retail coverage strategy to meet sales and coverage objectives.
  • Maintain accurate retail reporting and submit it daily.
  • Address all inquiries related to NARS for assigned clients and document any issues through the store comments feature on the handheld device.
  • Ensure all client priorities and sales goals are fulfilled.
  • Effectively relay client information to store staff.
  • Notify management of unmet objectives and provide necessary justification.
  • Facilitate the placement of new and existing products in line with client guidelines for prompt shelf availability.
  • Ensure complete distribution and display of products in accordance with plan-o-gram requirements.
  • Rotate stock, maintain cleanliness of displays, and price merchandise as necessary.
  • Conduct checks on product date codes and ensure compliance with approved plan-o-grams.
  • Report any observations to the Unit Manager regarding outdated products, stock imbalances, out-of-stock situations, and point-of-purchase needs, including competitive items.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and capability to drive for extended periods.
  • Availability for overnight travel and occasional weekend work for events such as demos and food shows.
  • Willingness to work nights and holidays as required by the position.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Good vision and ability to operate various office equipment, including calculators, fax machines, telephones, copiers, hand trucks, and other tools.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
