Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LiDAR Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will possess good verbal communication skills, have a positive outlook, and a proven track record in a project-based, schedule-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Existing Conditions Surveys
    • Extract 3D features from mobile LiDAR-generated point clouds
    • Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate delineation of break lines and features
    • Conduct quality assurance of one's own data set for accuracy, surface/contour generation, crossing chains, feature delineation, project boundary, and mapping scale
  • Assist with Mobile LiDAR Data Collection
    • Operate the mobile LiDAR system as part of a crew
    • Maintain the vehicle and scanning equipment
    • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and scanner calibrations
  • Perform LiDAR Point Cloud Registration
  • Assist with Acquisition of Other Remote Sensing Platforms
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience using scanning or mapping software
  • A.S. Degree or certificate in a related course of study or the equivalent work experience
  • TopoDOT and Microstation experience is strongly preferred
  • ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil 3D, Leica Cyclone, or other 3D modeling software experience is favorable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs is favorable
