Job Title: Diversity & Compliance Specialist

Fastenal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diversity & Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action requirements and supporting the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen job applicants and conduct phone interviews with candidates in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico
  • Post company-wide job openings on the internal job board and public website
  • Maintain our applicant tracking system and perform data entry
  • Assist hiring managers company-wide
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with state and federal laws
  • Assist with developing company affirmative action plans
  • Assist with maintaining our careers platforms to improve recruiting activities
Requirements:
  • Possess or be working towards education related to Human Resources, Business, Communications, or have administrative/customer service work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
