Masonite Corp. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently, and for actively seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
- Maintain the integrity of data and information, and ensure that all necessary records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, and ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Attend meetings and escalate any issues that require additional support, and communicate the results of these meetings to the team.
- Perform regular audits to verify the integrity of lean standards, and provide training and coaching to team members as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
- Assist production supervisors with assessing team member development needs, and developing training plans to address these needs.
- Hold regular engagements and Gemba walks with operators to facilitate the achievement of production requirements, consistency, and teamwork.
- Monitor and ensure a positive work environment for employees, and ensure that an effective communication system is in place at all levels of the process.
- Ensure that roles and expectations are clearly communicated throughout the process team, and respond quickly to any issues that require support.
Requirements:
- Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional formal education and/or training is a plus.
- 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Working knowledge of and experience of production flow and processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop effective teams without direct control.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
