Job Summary:

Masonite Corp. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that processes run smoothly and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership at Tier 1 Meeting, ensuring metrics are reviewed and addressed.
  • Maintain the integrity of Tier 1 and 2 Boards data and information.
  • Assign process/team members to daily work assignments and ensure required training and certification are evaluated and complied with.
  • Attend Tier 2 Meeting, escalating issues requiring additional support and communicating results.
  • Perform regular lean process audits to verify integrity of lean standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety of the Tier 1 area, providing training and coaching on lean tools and methodology.
  • Assist production Supervisor with assessing team member development needs and developing training plans.
  • Holds regular engagements and Gemba walks with operators to facilitate production requirements, consistency, and teamwork.
  • Monitor and ensure a positive work environment for employees.
  • Ensure effective communication throughout the process team.
  • Respond quickly to "Andon" signals requiring support.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist operators in interpreting procedures, methods, and correct use of production equipment.
  • Operational direct work as required by the line design and loading.

Requirements:

  • Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional formal education and/or training is a plus.
  • 5+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Working knowledge of and experience of production flow and processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop effective teams without direct control.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
