Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Technician to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including urine, stool, and sputum.
  • Perform various laboratory tests, such as phlebotomy, glucose testing, and EKGs.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Assist with patient ambulation, positioning, and comfort activities.
  • Support RNs and physicians with exams and minor procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and seek assistance from appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, including ER log books and patient charts.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CNA or EMT-B certification.
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
