Role Overview
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and mechanical systems. This position involves executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance on production, packaging, and processing equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
  • Be available for emergency repairs during breakdown situations.
  • Interpret technical documents, electrical schematics, and service manuals to carry out necessary maintenance.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding production efficiency and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, reporting low stock levels as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols established by OSHA and Pregis.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate's or Technical School Degree in Mechanics or Electrical preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
This position involves exposure to moving equipment, indoor work conditions, and may require physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
