Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled Intake Coordinator to join our team at the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC). As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting screening interviews with applicants seeking admission to our program. You will also be responsible for processing admitted beneficiaries, orienting them to the program, and explaining applicable rules and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining ongoing contact with current and prospective referral sources, and devoting time to outreach in the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct screening interviews with applicants seeking admission to the program

* Devote time to outreach in the surrounding community

Requirements

* BA in a Social Service field preferred
* Two (2) years of related experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MSWord, Excel, and Access
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
* Professional judgment and integrity in holding in confidence all information pertaining to beneficiaries, families and co-workers

Physical Requirements

* Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
* Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment
* Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone
* Ability to lift to 30lbs

Work Schedule

The Salvation Army operates 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management. Full-time associates may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
