Youth Support Partner - Children's Intensive Services

Position: Youth Support Partner – Full Time (40 hours/week)
Organization: Compass Health

Compass Health is actively seeking a Youth Support Partner to be part of the Children's Intensive Services program.

The Children's Intensive Outpatient Services program provides essential support to children and their families within their community, utilizing a Wraparound approach. This model emphasizes the importance of family voice and choice, recognizing individual strengths, building natural support systems, and promoting self-sufficiency. Wraparound teams deliver comprehensive behavioral health services to Medicaid-eligible youth, up to 21 years old, who face complex behavioral health challenges, alongside their families. The primary aim is to ensure that eligible youth can thrive in their homes and communities while minimizing the need for disruptive out-of-home placements. Services are delivered in the natural settings of the youth and family, addressing needs and challenges where they arise, such as at home, school, and in the community. Families have reported positive outcomes, including enhanced stability, increased support, community connections, and renewed hope for the future.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, employing an individualized, creative, and strength-based approach within the Wraparound framework. This role focuses on supporting youth and caregivers to maintain children in a community-based and least restrictive environment.

This position requires flexibility, including evening and weekend hours, both in the office and within the community. Youth Support Partners engage with clients to facilitate their active participation in informed decision-making throughout the Wraparound process. They ensure that each client's voice is heard and that their unique needs are addressed effectively. Youth Support Partners draw from their own life experiences of overcoming behavioral health challenges as youth, enabling them to connect with and inspire hope in the youth they serve.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA or BA Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
