Senior Software Engineer for Robotics Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Robotics Team at NVIDIA. For over two decades, we have pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics. Our invention of the GPU has expanded the field to encompass video games, movie production, research, and autonomous machines. The team is building a robotics platform for developing the next generation of intelligent robots. NVIDIA's Isaac Robotics Platform combines high-fidelity visual and physical simulation, a high-quality developing platform, hundreds of optimized algorithms for computer vision and artificial intelligence, and a small and powerful computational platform to form the brain of intelligent machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of an AI platform to enable industrial-grade robotics solutions.
  • Deploy solutions to enable customers to run their AI workflows on the platform.
  • Debug and optimize the full software stack from front-end to backend.
  • Work closely with dependent teams to drive the project.
  • Responsible for issue management during integration, testing, deployment, and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of work experience. At least 2+ years of experience working on cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable fault-tolerant service deployments.
  • Excellent Python programming skills and proficiency in other scripting languages.
  • Strong data skills and software design.
  • Ability to learn fast and debug complex system issues.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to varying roles and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
  • Deployment with various cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience building data platforms to scale AI workflows.
  • Display technical ownership in a cross-organizational, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Practice leading a software project involving 4 or more engineers.

The base salary range for this position is $148,000 - $276,000 USD, and your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
