About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Physician Assistant to join our team at Radiology Partners Gulf Coast. As a key member of our radiology team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our radiologists in the management of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist radiologists in the performance of minor procedures and provide direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and rounding.
  • Schedule patients for procedures, including pre-authorizations and coordination with other facilities as needed.
  • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies.
  • Perform or assist procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis, image-guided IV access, and other radiology-related procedures.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes.
  • Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patients.
  • Provide education to patients on their medical care.

Requirements
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas (preferred).
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited program.
  • Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
  • One year of Physician Assistant experience (preferred).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
