Job Title: Medical Assistant with Radiologic Support

G&A Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant with radiologic support experience to join its team in Houston, TX. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care, including performing routine office procedures, testing, and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to rooms in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Work with Physician/Mid-Level providers to document patient information and vital signs.
  • Complete orders for treatment prescribed by the physician.
  • Prioritize work and anticipate the needs of physicians.
  • Use safe injection practices and discard biohazardous materials.
  • Perform timely and quality radiology procedures.
  • Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
  • Use radiation safety and protection devices.
  • Download images to Efferent and send images to patients when requested.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
  • Perform hand hygiene and answer patient phone calls.
  • Manage and schedule appointments.
  • Complete daily room stocking, disinfection, and removal of sharps and biohazardous containers.
  • Stay up to date on medical terminology and procedures.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years medical office experience, preferred orthopedic experience.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Venipuncture 1 year (preferred).
  • Minimum 1-year NCRT (non-certified radiologic technician) experience.
