Job Summary

This role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient care and support services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the nurse, prioritize and organize patient care, performing basic nursing skills as outlined in policy and procedure.
  • Document patient information, treatments, and observations on the patient's chart, providing clear and concise reports to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Physical ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods, with occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience.
  • Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM ADVANCED) certification within 6 months of hire.
