Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Faculty

The Jefferson College of Nursing is actively seeking qualified faculty members to contribute to the advancement of our master's and doctoral nursing curriculum.
Our institution also provides post-BSN to DNP pathways across various specialties, including community systems administration, nursing informatics, and nurse practitioner tracks.
We are currently accepting applications for full-time faculty positions within the Adult Gerontology-Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate visionary and innovative leadership abilities essential for the effective implementation of nursing curriculum within our graduate programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with fellow nurse practitioner faculty for course planning and resource identification, oversee the selection of clinical preceptors and sites, and manage student clinical placements and progress.
Faculty members will work closely with the Chair of Programs, Associate Deans, Dean, and support services to achieve desired program outcomes.As an educator, the faculty member should exhibit a passion for teaching future advanced practice nurses in various settings, including classroom, clinical skills, and online environments.
Faculty members will also serve as mentors and advisors for students and engage in college meetings and committees. Ongoing practice, scholarship, and community service are highly valued. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are crucial.The primary focus of this role is to uphold academic integrity in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and student learning experiences across classroom, laboratory/simulation, and clinical environments.
This position involves advising students, contributing to curriculum development, evaluating program effectiveness, and teaching in accordance with the mission and core values of the College and University.

- Demonstrate ongoing clinical competency
- Involve in professional activities relevant to clinical expertise
- Contribute to scholarly activities beyond personal academic pursuits
- Engage in recruitment initiatives for the College and University
- Interact with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with the core values of the institution
- Certification as a Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is required, with a focus on Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- A doctoral degree is preferred; however, a master’s degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Candidates without a doctoral degree must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
- Must be eligible or currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Previous teaching experience is preferred
- Knowledge and skills related to innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, evaluation, and supporting students in their journey to become advanced practice nurses, or a willingness to acquire these skills
This is a salaried position with a comprehensive benefits and retirement program. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience.
