The Jefferson College of Nursing is actively seeking qualified faculty members to contribute to the enhancement of our master's and doctoral programs.

We are currently accepting applications for full-time faculty positions within the Adult Gerontology-Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Prospective candidates should demonstrate innovative and visionary leadership capabilities to effectively implement nursing curricula within the graduate framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with fellow nurse practitioner faculty on course planning and resource identification, oversee the selection of clinical preceptors and sites, and manage student clinical placements and progression.
Faculty members will work closely with the Chair of Programs, Associate Deans, Dean, and support services to achieve desired program outcomes.As an educator, the candidate must exhibit a passion for teaching future advanced practice nurses in various settings, including classroom, clinical skills, and online environments.
Faculty members are expected to serve as advisors and mentors for students, as well as participate in college meetings and committees. Current practice, scholarship, and community service are highly valued. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.The primary focus of this role is to uphold academic integrity in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and student learning experiences across classroom, laboratory/simulation, and clinical environments.
This position involves advising students, contributing to curriculum development, evaluating program effectiveness, and teaching in accordance with the mission and core values of the College and University.
Position Highlights:

- Engage in College and University activities throughout the academic year.
- Demonstrate ongoing clinical competency.
- Involve in professional activities related to clinical expertise.
- Contribute to scholarly activities beyond personal academic pursuits.
- Engage in recruitment initiatives for the College and University.
- Interact with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with the core values of the institution.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is required, specializing in Adult Gerontology-Acute Care.
- A doctoral degree is preferred; however, a master’s degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory. Candidates without a doctoral degree must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
- Must be eligible or currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and skills in innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, evaluation, and supporting students in their journey to become advanced practice nurses are essential, or a willingness to acquire these skills.
This is a salaried position offering a comprehensive benefits and retirement package. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience.
