Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Cleared Software Systems Engineer to enhance our Cross-cutting Urgent Innovation Cell (CUIC) team. This specialized group at MITRE is dedicated to swiftly providing innovative solutions to national security challenges through robust customer collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Cleared Software Systems Engineer, your duties will encompass software engineering, database development, data analytics, and geospatial reasoning within classified settings. You will work closely with colleagues to explore and implement new methodologies to tackle intricate problems.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Top Secret clearance
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience alongside a Bachelor's degree
  • A degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in software engineering and debugging
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • Willingness to work on-site at least 4 days per week

Preferred Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in a pertinent field
  • Experience in real-world data analysis
  • Understanding of machine learning and computer vision methodologies
  • Proficiency in data science tools such as Pandas and NumPy
  • Experience with container technologies and cloud computing infrastructure
