Job Title: Senior Maintenance Project Inspector

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Maintenance Project Inspector to join our Facilities Management team at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our airport facilities and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and complex inspections of electrical and mechanical systems, mechanical installations, alterations, and repairs project lifecycle, methods, quality assurance, and workmanship.
  • Verify construction in adherence with approved plans, specifications, calculations, and codes.
  • Maintain project lifecycle; monitor project phases for on-time delivery and project timelines, and schedules, verifies project completion, ensures acceptable safety practices and compliance with safety standards.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and other project representatives to coordinate work activities, and inspects the compliance or services provided keeping safety, security procedures, and requirements in the forefront.
  • Communicate work status, resolves project discrepancies and issues; attends project meetings, develops proposals and scope of work and participates in bid activities.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in engineering or closely related field.
  • Four years of paraprofessional, public works-related engineering experience, including drafting and construction and electrical and mechanical inspection responsibilities.
  • Or two years of relevant college-level coursework and two years of paraprofessional engineering technician experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management or related course work.
  • Certifications through International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), the Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE), Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), US Green Building Council (USGBC), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), International Code Council (ICC), American Construction Inspectors Association (ACIA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
