About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Chemist to join our Special Hazards/Agents New Product Introduction Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and testing next-generation fire suppression agents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into new technologies and develop new technologies into commercial products
  • Interface with 3rd party approval agencies and assist with new product commercialization and production scale-up via a stage-gate new product development process
  • Develop and test fire suppression agents, including handling flammable liquids and performing live fire tests
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
  • ~6+ years' experience in a formulation lab environment
  • Experience leading complex, ambiguous development efforts
  • Strong laboratory fundamentals, including documentation and chemical hygiene/safety
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a cross-functional product development team
  • Experience with surfactant and/or polymer chemistry
