Job Summary

We are seeking a Development Chemist to join our Special Hazards/Agents New Product Introduction Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and testing next-generation fire suppression agents.

Responsibilities
  • Research and develop new technologies for fire suppression agents
  • Interface with 3rd party approval agencies to ensure compliance
  • Assist with new product commercialization and production scale-up
  • Develop and maintain laboratory documentation and chemical hygiene/safety protocols
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
  • 6+ years' experience in a formulation lab environment
  • Strong laboratory fundamentals, including documentation and chemical hygiene/safety
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional product development team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Experience with surfactant and/or polymer chemistry
  • Knowledge of firefighting foam test standards
