Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Sierra Vista Child & Family Services. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to children in compliance with Title 22 and Medi-cal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory.
  • Inventory and manage all in-coming and outgoing medications.
  • Alert physicians and clinical staff when children are due for medication review and/or refill.
  • Contact parents regarding medication refill needs.
  • Prepare and ensure consent forms, medication informed consent forms, and other necessary documents are completed and signed.
  • Ensure current physician's orders are on file prior to medication administration.
  • Inform physicians when lab work is due, according to agency policy.
  • Schedule client appointments with psychiatrists and provide lists of children to be seen.
  • Monitor and ensure that all physician progress notes are completed and filed.
  • Develop and implement health-related in-services for staff and client children.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain an effective infection control program.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as an LVN or RN.
  • Experience working with children for at least two years prior to employment.
  • A valid California driver's license is required for staff with regular driving duties.
