Position Overview: We are in search of a skilled and meticulous Field Phlebotomy Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role involves the precise collection of blood and specimen samples for laboratory testing, tailored to the needs of various facilities.
Work Schedule: The selected candidate will be expected to maintain a flexible work schedule, covering regions in North Alabama, including Birmingham and its surrounding areas. Working hours may vary between 5:30 AM and 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately collect blood and specimen samples as per facility requirements.
- Verify patient identity and personal information through appropriate identification methods.
- Ensure the quality and quantity of collected samples meet laboratory standards.
- Correctly label samples and ensure their timely delivery for testing.
- Address patient inquiries and provide relevant information regarding procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations while performing duties both in the facility and during travel.
- Follow supervisor instructions and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a related field is preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma is required.
- Certifications:
- Phlebotomy Certification is preferred.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
