Field Engineering Specialist

Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers in the Birmingham, AL area.
As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will showcase your expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines, offer valuable service to laboratory customers, and provide routine technical support, on-site service, and repair of Roche products.
You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures, and document all activities to contribute to quality improvement and maximize customer satisfaction.
This is a field-based role, and the territory is within the greater Birmingham, AL area. Ideal candidates should live in Birmingham, AL.
Travel expectation: 10-15%.
Requirements- High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
- Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
- Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required
8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required.
Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry is essential.
The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is crucial.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Alabama is $66,000 - $80,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
