Job Summary

FPI Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
    • Repair and maintain equipment, appliances, and systems as needed.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • On-Call and Emergency Response
    • Provide on-call maintenance services, including evening, weekend, and holiday emergency responses.
    • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Unit Turnovers
    • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance.
    • Coordinate and/or assist in painting vacant apartments.
    • Change out appliances as necessary.
  • Inspections and Compliance
    • Prepare properties for regulatory inspections, including NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Enforce community rules and regulations.
    • Comply with all Fair Housing Laws.
    • Promote a professional image and maintain a positive working relationship with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification, preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
