The Medical Office Manager plays a crucial role within the leadership team, overseeing the efficient and effective daily operations of one or more practice locations. This position collaborates closely with central administration to plan, organize, and supervise the activities of support staff. The Medical Office Manager is responsible for coordinating workflows, implementing approved systems, policies, and procedures to uphold service and quality standards, and serving as a resource for clinicians and staff.
Additionally, this role involves monitoring and evaluating staff performance and quality of work, actively engaging with employees to enhance adherence to policies and procedures, and fostering a high level of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient workflows.
- Implement and maintain quality standards and service protocols.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage with team members to promote a positive work environment.
- Coordinate with central administration on operational strategies.
Candidates should possess a strong and enthusiastic interest in healthcare, with 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient medical office setting; experience in primary care is advantageous. A fundamental understanding of patient flow, registration, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations is essential. Supervisory or quality assurance experience is preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, management, public or health care administration, or a closely related field is required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
