Job Title: Supervisor Central Sterile Processing

Emory Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Central Sterile Processing to join our team. As a key member of our Central Sterile Services Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective processing of surgical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily activities between the Operating Room and Central Sterile Services Department to facilitate efficient case flow.
  • Ensure compliance with current standards and guidelines, including CBSPD, AAMI, and IAHCSMM.
  • Develop and implement in-service education programs to maintain knowledge and skills of staff.
  • Assess and set up case carts, maintain inventory, and collect, disassemble, inspect, clean, disinfect, and reassemble instrument trays and patient care equipment.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure high-quality work and adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Some College or Associates Degree preferred or Surgical Technologist certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in sterile processing, healthcare environment, or as operating scrub.
  • CBSPD or CRCST certification required.
  • Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records.
