Job Summary

The Fire Protection Assistant Project Manager will provide support to project managers on various projects, ranging from simple to complex, and may also manage smaller projects independently.

This role will serve as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.

The APM will maintain document control, manage databases, and coordinate project activities and communications to meet project goals within the prescribed timeframe and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in growing relationships and market share in the fire protection segment.
  • Support the Project Management team in administering RFP package development, bid and selection processes, and developing detailed scope of work documents.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate activities across multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain client and partner relationships through trust-building and high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
  • Promote safe work environments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with experience in Fire Protection preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with good relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to make persuasive presentations to clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional registration (PE) or industry-related certifications (NICET) preferred.
Work Environment

This role will be based in the US-MN-Minneapolis/St Paul area and will require occasional travel (15% of the time).
