Key Responsibilities of the General Manager Trainee:

  • Oversee the fleet to ensure clean and well-maintained equipment
  • Monitor and catalog inventory
  • Guarantee exceptional customer service
  • Manage fuel receipts and petty cash
  • Maintain cleanliness and security of the premises
  • Engage in continuous education through U-Haul University

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or a service-oriented industry with accountability for financial outcomes and customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven management capabilities in a high-volume retail environment with profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

This role involves moderate physical exertion, including extended periods of standing, moving throughout the facility, and lifting items weighing a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
