Position Overview
- Purposeful Teaching: Our educators are instrumental in actualizing our academic and cultural objectives through thoughtful lesson planning, curriculum development, and data-driven analysis. They are responsible for implementing Social Emotional Learning initiatives and Restorative Practices.
- Collaboration and Support: Educators collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to facilitate student development. Continuous feedback and teamwork are fundamental to our approach.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in educational settings with demographics similar to our student population
- B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for teaching credentials

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Work with stakeholders to establish measurable objectives for student achievement
- Provide specialized instruction and support services tailored to individual needs
- Gather and assess data to track student progress
- Design lesson plans that align with IEP goals and KIPP's mission
- Adapt curriculum and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Employ culturally responsive classroom management techniques
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
- Engage in professional development and collaborative practice
- Keep accurate records of special education services
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements
Physical: Ability to navigate school environments, utilize technology, and perform occasional lifting. Physical agility is necessary for effective movement.
Mental: Capacity to analyze challenges, maintain focus, and manage interruptions.
Environmental: Work in a school setting that may experience interruptions. Be prepared for potential remote work opportunities.
Classification
This is a full-time, exempt role aligned with the school year calendar.
