We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team near San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a valid California Mild/Moderate or Mod/Severe Education Specialist License and 1+ years of experience working with students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with parents and support staff to ensure students' progress and well-being.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including creating IEPs.
  • Monitor students' behavioral patterns and provide interventions as needed.
  • Prepare students for transition to the next grade level.
  • Coach and mentor other professionals working with students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid California Mild/Moderate or Mod/Severe Education Specialist License
  • 1+ years of experience working with students with special needs
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred
