The Clinical Dietitian is a key member of the Nutrition Department, responsible for delivering high-quality nutrition care to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition principles and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and care plans for patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care
- Develop and implement nutrition education programs for patients and families
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care and make recommendations for improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification or eligibility
- At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
