We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Linux System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Digital Technology organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
- Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.
- Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must be able to obtain a transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must Linux experience.
- Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration experience.
