About the Role:

This leadership position focuses on managing the fleet operations at a single, high-volume location, overseeing a fleet of thousands of vehicles. You will oversee a team of 6 managers and 29 technicians, with a strong background in managing both the P&L and subcategories such as tire expenses, oil expenses, salary & wages, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience reducing out-of-service counts, managing aged vehicles, and coordinating vehicle repairs.

  3. Manage financial performance, including monitoring and controlling expenses related to tires, oil, and other fleet-related costs.
  4. Maintain out-of-service vehicle counts, ensuring downtime is minimized, and vehicle repairs are completed promptly.
  5. Collaborate with and manage relationships with unionized employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  6. Conduct regular inventory assessments, including counting vehicles and managing the body damage repair process.
  7. Ensure safety and compliance protocols are followed, creating a safe and efficient work environment for all team members.
  8. Partner with vendors and other service providers to manage ongoing fleet repairs and maintenance needs.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of management experience, ideally within the full-service automotive industry, rental cars, or large dealership settings. Experience managing unionized employees is a huge plus. Previous experience managing a high-performing automotive services team with multiple direct reports is required.
