  • Design and implement specialized training programs to enhance the expertise and knowledge of the project management team, with an emphasis on lithium-ion battery projects.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository for PMO resources, ensuring thorough documentation and dissemination of best practices in lithium-ion battery development.
  • Establish and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of PMO processes and promote continuous improvement in managing lithium-ion battery projects.
  • Continuously evaluate PMO processes, standards, and tools against industry best practices and emerging trends in lithium-ion battery technology.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and communication of PMO best practices to relevant stakeholders, focusing on the technical complexities of lithium-ion battery projects.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among project stakeholders, optimizing processes for the development, scaling, and commercialization of lithium-ion battery technologies.
  • Provide coaching to Program Managers, Core Teams, and Functional Managers on process competencies and execution, particularly within the lithium-ion battery technology sector.
  • Directly oversee large, complex projects or programs as necessary, ensuring successful outcomes in the rapidly evolving lithium-ion battery industry.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical field with a strong emphasis on battery technology.
  • A minimum of 15 years of industry experience, including over 10 years in a program management capacity with a focus on lithium-ion battery technology, energy storage systems, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and leading a PMO within an organization dedicated to lithium-ion battery development or energy storage.
  • Thorough understanding of the product development lifecycle and phase-gate methodology, particularly within the context of lithium-ion battery systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organizational levels, including technical teams, engineers, and senior executives.
  • Extensive experience in project and program management with a proven track record of successful project delivery in the lithium-ion battery or energy storage sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques specifically tailored to the development and commercialization of lithium-ion batteries.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on fostering collaboration in technical project environments.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and build consensus across all organizational levels, particularly in the context of battery technology innovation.
  • Strong cross-functional team leadership and consensus-building capabilities, especially in the lithium-ion battery industry.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and adapt swiftly to the dynamic demands of lithium-ion battery development.
  • Strong accountability for personal and team commitments, particularly in delivering complex battery technology projects.
