As a key member of our team, the Project Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in managing financial aspects of various projects. This full-time, exempt position is based in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Exhibit a thorough understanding of program control principles, including the ability to develop and oversee Estimates at Complete (EAC), forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis.
2. Ensure accurate collection of program costs by maintaining active charge numbers, overseeing actual charges, and processing transfers as necessary.
3. Conduct monthly assessments of project performance against budgetary constraints, providing variance explanations.
4. Continuously monitor funding status to ensure alignment with project goals.
5. Guarantee compliance with contractual obligations and timely delivery of customer financial reports, including financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs).
6. Scrutinize and analyze program revenue and profit recognition.
7. Generate, review, and approve invoices for customer submission while tracking billing status.
8. Investigate, comprehend, and report on assigned unbilled balances.
9. Collaborate with Program Management and Operations teams to formulate pricing proposals and cost estimates, documenting pricing assumptions and bases of estimates.
10. Work proactively with the Program Manager and team to meet programmatic and financial objectives.
11. Assist in audits of financial data conducted by internal and external auditors.
12. Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Control for Government Contractors, including FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus Award Fee contracts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative team player.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across various departments and organizational levels.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience effectively interacting with program management and various functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing IDIQ contracts with multiple active task orders.
- Background in supporting dynamic and sensitive programs.
- Familiarity with financial accounting and reporting systems (e.g., Cost Point, Cognos).
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a desk using computers and standard office equipment for extended periods.
