Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Processing Line Operator to join our team at Accurus Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coating parts to customer specifications, ensuring high-quality products and meeting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and rack/unrack parts, set up and operate the processing line equipment, and monitor the processing line.
  • Monitor tank levels and perform inspections of the equipment and the parts being coated.
  • Follow established work instructions and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the use, storage, and disposition of hazardous materials.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and address leaks, spills, or other issues, escalating concerns to Supervisor and/or Maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare parts and set up and operate machines to coat products, operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating processes.
  • Weigh or measure chemicals or coatings before adding them to machines, fill hoppers and tanks per specification and operating procedures, start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks.
  • Perform test runs to ensure that equipment is set up properly, examine, measure, weigh, or test sample products to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, attach and align machine parts, such as rollers, guides, brushes, and blades, using hand tools.
  • Determine coating quality by performing visual inspections to identify water break-free surface and burns, discolored areas, or other anomalies or defects.
  • Start and stop machine operation, adjust dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure, and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings.
  • Record operational data on specified forms and comply with quality standards and documentation requirements.
  • Thread or feed items or products through or around machine rollers and dryers, remove materials, parts, or workpieces from racks using hand tools, transfer completed items or products from machines to drying or storage areas using handcarts, hand trucks, or cranes.
  • Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years in a manufacturing role utilizing automated equipment required.
  • Experience in anodizing, plating, or other similar metal coating/finishing preferred.
  • Experience reading and accurately interpreting shop blueprints, sketches, specifications, and other technical information/instructions required.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fraction conversions) required.
  • Experience using mics, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment required.
  • Completion of assigned internal training for Operators and periodic retraining or recertification required.
  • Capacity to operate in a consistently fast-paced production environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to unexpected disruptions and/or production schedule changes that are time-sensitive.
Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing shop environment where working conditions may vary significantly. The employee will be exposed to excessive noise, dust, smoke, mist, fumes/vapors, extreme temperatures, and hazardous equipment.

The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, respiratory protection (if applicable), and use of safety footwear is required.
