About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/CNA to join our team at Village Caregiving - Quincy. As a Caregiver/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal hygiene assistance to elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Medication Management: Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
  • Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments, walks, and other activities.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare meals for clients.
  • Physical Therapy Assistance: Assist clients with physical therapy exercises.
  • Errands and Chores: Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so, and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Emergency Response: Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
  • Daily Living Support: Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting patients with meals, serving, and other tasks, if necessary.
Requirements
  • Compassionate Nature: Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
  • Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.
  • Compassionate and Supportive: Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
  • Flexibility: Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
  • Health and Safety: Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
  • Quality Care: Take pride in providing high-quality care.
