Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and caring Caregiver/CNA to join our team at Serene Gardens of Sterling Heights. As a Caregiver/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating, to elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents.
- Medication Management: Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare meals for clients.
- Physical Therapy Assistance: Assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Shopping Assistance: Complete clients' shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
- Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping duties.
- Incident Reporting: Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Daily Living Assistance: Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
- Compassionate Nature: Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.
- Compassionate Support: Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Flexibility: Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Healthcare Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
- Health and Safety: Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
- Quality Care: Take pride in providing high-quality care.
- Hoyer Lift Experience: Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
