About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Blue Origin Engines business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices to support the design, development, and testing of our engines and propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with tool administrators and program representatives to assess and establish the best approach to incorporate MBSE practices among existing policies, processes, and tools.
  • Work with cross-functional organizations to assess business unit culture and processes for easy-entry points for MBSE practices, and develop and implement near- and long-term MBSE strategies.
  • Facilitate the integration of Jama, Jira, Windchill, Gitlab, and other applications as necessary to support systems engineering processes.
  • Support the team in general development and improvement of program metrics, report-generation, and overall team growth.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Systems Engineering or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a highly regulated environment (aerospace, nuclear, government, medical device, etc.).
  • 5+ years of MBSE experience.
  • Expertise with Cameo, Jama, JIRA, Gitlab, and other relevant applications.
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data management tools.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with aerospace avionics hardware and software requirements and certification.
  • Proficient in the IBM Jazz Suite, DOORs, Jama, Windchill, and Confluence.
  • Proficient teacher of technical content in both formal and informal settings.
  • Proficient in technical writing about process and procedure.
