Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Residential Care Cleaner is to ensure that designated areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and appealing manner. This role is essential in upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the cleaning schedule and follow instructions from supervisors, covering resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
  • Perform sweeping and vacuuming in all assigned spaces.
  • Dust and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges in both resident and public areas.
  • Ensure windows and mirrors are cleaned regularly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls and ceilings through various cleaning methods.
  • Manage the cleanliness of hallways, stairways, and elevators as required.
  • Empty waste receptacles and manage waste disposal.
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure model rooms are prepared for new residents.
  • Assist with laundry duties as necessary, including linens and personal items.
  • Keep janitorial closets and supply areas organized and tidy.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to remain composed in stressful situations and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
  • Compassion and a desire to work with the elderly.
  • Flexibility to work full or part-time hours as needed.
  • Compliance with state health regulations.
