Agile Project Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Project Coordinator to join our team at Beacon Hill Staffing Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching teams on Agile/Scrum practices, providing support to the Product Owner and Development Team, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand Agile values and principles and guide teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.
- Provide support to the Product Owner and Development Team, and lead by example.
- Guide and coach delivery teams to self-organize and achieve objectives with Agile practices and values.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies efficiently to help teams realize the value of the meetings.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and resolved.
- Work effectively with management and team members to clarify needs and plan delivery of major product changes, future versions, and new products.
- Manage and report on budget, ensuring teams deliver within the funding allocated.
- Proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring they are identified, coordinated, mitigated, or escalated as necessary.
- Work with the Product Owner and Development Team to facilitate effective sprints by removing impediments and ensuring stories are 'sprint ready.'
- Deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Review current Agile processes, demonstrate servant-leadership, and guide the team to improve their processes while challenging them to innovate.
- Help foster an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration.
- Contribute to building a culture where continuous improvement is in focus.
- Continually grow skills to enhance expertise and help the business grow.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and information radiation.
Requirements
- CSM or equivalent certification.
- A clear understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and procedures.
- Possess great leadership skills to motivate Scrum teams to perform at their best.
- Good skills and knowledge of facilitation techniques, servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Experience with Agile PLM tools like JIRA.
- Understanding of backlog tracking, Scrum and Kanban-based metrics, task definition, and story splitting.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Experience in sprint and release planning, running demos, and retrospectives.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Requirements
- Professional experience in the financial services industry.
- Bachelor's in computer science, management information systems, or related disciplines.
- 4-6 years of experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts.
- Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.
- Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
- Flexible - works 4 days or less in the office.
