This role provides technical support to troubleshoot key quality or manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development of 'fit for purpose' packaging platforms that are designed to maximize desirability, feasibility, and viability.
  • Strategic Cell Leadership Team member, influencing cell core growth and innovation projects, and responsible for ideating and realizing strategic cell value leadership goals.
  • Develops detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at our facilities, co-packers, and co-manufacturers.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and executes line trials at appropriate supply locations to confirm that quality attributes and performance metrics are achieved.
  • Manages packaging suppliers to ensure proper execution of projects and recommends/qualifies new ones when appropriate.
  • Coordinates the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability, influence teams, and support customer collaboration.
  • Collaborates with global counterparts to spot opportunities for scale, ensure sharing of best practices, and coordination of key activities.
  • Manages and measures work for themselves as well as T1 and T2 Packaging Engineers on Strategic Cell activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in packaging prime cost savings is a plus.
  • Must have fast-paced CPG packaging development experience.
  • Must be able to navigate complex specification systems.
  • Must be confident in x-functional team settings.
  • Must be skilled in flexible film, paperboard, corrugated materials, and have a capable understanding of both flexible FFS and horizontal flow wrap equipment.
  • Packaging material development, die line creation, autonomous ability to plan and run line trials, drive for results, effective communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and dealing with ambiguity.
