Overview:

The Chief Officer of Planned Giving at Martha O'Bryan Center is instrumental in enhancing our Foundation's financial resources. This position involves engaging with existing and prospective benefactors to present the diverse avenues available for supporting our mission. Key responsibilities include facilitating contributions such as bequests, stock gifts, and other financial instruments. The primary emphasis will be on overseeing our Planned Giving Program, in partnership with the Chief Development Officer and Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of benefactors and planned giving candidates
  • Foster relationships to secure and formalize planned contributions
  • Conduct in-person meetings with benefactors
  • Create written proposals and communications for donors
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote planned contributions
  • Coordinate efforts with development and membership teams
  • Record donor interactions in the CRM system
  • Provide regular updates on fundraising outcomes
  • Travel as necessary to engage with benefactors in the area
