Overview

We are seeking a driven and dedicated professional to take on the role of Director of Relationship Management. This position involves collaborating closely with a team of four Relationship Managers and the firm's partners to effectively support our clients in managing key aspects of their portfolios and daily requirements. Your focus will be on refining and enhancing existing processes rather than starting from scratch. Additionally, you will serve as the primary Relationship Manager for select clients, addressing their ongoing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing workflow inefficiencies and developing or implementing strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Overseeing a team of four Relationship Managers, with plans for future recruitment.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Relationship Management team and the partners and Chief Investment Officer.
  • Engaging in various firm initiatives, including client events and committee projects.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and training of new staff as the firm expands.
  • Providing exceptional client service through thoughtful gestures such as sending birthday cards, holiday gifts, and care packages.
  • Addressing urgent client issues, which may involve trade corrections, account openings, and resolving transaction failures.
  • Facilitating account openings and onboarding for new clients.
  • Managing daily maintenance of client accounts.
  • Responding promptly to client inquiries regarding funds and data.
  • Executing financial transactions, including journal entries, check requests, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Assisting clients with 529 plan contributions and distributions.
  • Processing charitable donations.
  • Handling phone communications and monitoring fax correspondence.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus in business or finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an RIA or private banking setting, preferably in a management or leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A personable demeanor with a passion for building meaningful client relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to various projects as needed.
  • Familiarity with software such as Salesforce Salentica, SMArtX, and Black Diamond is advantageous.
  • A good sense of humor and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proximity to Beverly Hills is preferred, as this role is primarily office-based.
