Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography instructor to join our faculty team at Collin College. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.
Requirements:

An associate degree or higher in any discipline and must hold one current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the ARDMS, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS, or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a sedentary work environment. The employee will be required to sit most of the time and may be required to walk, stand, and move objects occasionally. The employee will also be required to talk, hear, see, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
