Adjunct Professor, Emergency Medical Services Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach Emergency Medical Services courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Medical Services and the ability to deliver engaging and innovative coursework.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Emergency Medical Services courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of nonteaching work experience as a paramedic OR 10 years in-field experience with a fire department or private medical intensive care unit (MICU) company.

Physical Demands:

The ideal candidate will be able to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and will be able to talk, hear, see, grasp, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. The work environment will be relatively free from unpleasant conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
